Although Cuban music has been tremendously successful in Europe over the last decade there is very little available on DVD, especially live recordings.
Totally Cuban brings you exactly that; live registration of 10 popular Cuban bands playing at one Havana’s leading clubs “Casa De Musica.” The infectious rhythm of salsa coupled with the Cubans vibrant love of music and life makes watching this DVD a sheer joy. Recorded in 5.1 surround sound the DVD also takes the viewer to the famous Sono Caribe studios, famous even before Castro when U.S. performers such as Nat King Cole used to record there, as well as giving us glimpses of Havana and it’s beaches. There is also a beginners lesson to learn the basic sequence of steps needed to dance the salsa.
