Tony Hadley, best known as the lead singer with Spandau Ballet, has been touring for the last couple of years with a Big Band which led to his recording a series of classic swing songs. As we all know, Tony has a superb, powerful, but smooth voice which lends itself perfectly to this genre. Obviously, a perfect combination for that other swinger with the super smooth voice, Tony Bennett. Smith & Co. therefore decided to couple 7 tracks from both singers to create a new addition to the very successful series “Kings of Swing”. Tony Hadley is touring consistently, both as an 80’s revival artist and also with the swing band. He will be in Germany this month and again later in the year and is touring Norway from 18 July to 4 August. Tony Bennett seems to be consistenly in the news and is currently touring the UK at the tender age of 80!
Once again, it is fantastic to hear just how well these two artists match each other making this “Kings of Swing” a sheer joy to listen to. Enjoy ! .
