Fats Domino - Live in Europe

At the age of 78 Antoine ‘Fats’ Domino has truly earned the title “A Legend in own Lifetime!” With 79 hits registered on the R&B and Billboard charts, Fats is the 10th. greatest R&B artist and 23rd. biggest pop artist the U.S. has ever known.
Unfortunately he longer feels up to touring Europe, although he still performs a few times a year in the States. For this reason we are fortunate to be able to bring you two of his live gigs in Europe to you in this package never previously released. The DVD features the entire performance at the 1992 Andorra Jazz Festival and as a bonus we have included a CD of his German gig at the C.C.S. Hamburg in 1981..

Both live recordings bring us superb versions of his major hits such as Blueberry Hill, My Girl Josephine, Red Sails in the Sunset, My Blue Heaven, I’m Walkin’, The Fat Man, Ain’t it a shame and his inimitable version of the Hank Williams classic Jambalaya (on the Bayou). This DVD & CD is a collectors item for all the Fats Domino fans and there are hundreds of thousands in Europe, as well as a wonderful introduction for a new generation of music fans to the unhurried piano playing of Fats and his uniquely warm, easy vocal style
