Jamie Cullum's first album released on Candid Records had a series of classic American songs, that, although given Jamie's unique jazz treatment, still had a definite swing feel to them. We therefore decided to combine these 7 tracks with 7 tracks from the maestro himself, Frank Sinatra. Following on the heels of the extremely successful Smith & Co. "Kings of Swing" CD featuring Michael Bublé & Frank Sinatra (in excess of 50,000 CD's sold to date) this was just screaming out to be the next album in the series.

There will be no new Universal album from Jamie this year so this is a great oppurtunity to to reach the the millions of fans waiting for new material, many of whom are unaware of the debut Candid album. They can also hear how the combo style of Jamie Cullum's  recordings blend beautifully with the big Nelson Riddle orchestra recordings of "Old Blue Eyes"! This album is an absolute delight!

This attractively packaged 14 track CD features all the DRG tracks recorded by Michael Bublé and 7 classic recordings from Frank Sinatra (conducted and arranged by Nelson Riddle and George Siravo on "You do something to me" and "Lover",) demonstrating perfectly how well these two artists blend together on one CD. Probably one of the hottest acts on the M.O.R. scene at the moment, Michael Bublé's early 2001 recordings for DRG Records have the same panache and excellence as his current Universal recordings. Unfortunately he only recorded 7 tracks for DRG before signing to Universal. However, it has given us the possibility to put a compilation together featuring not only his self acclaimed greatest influence, but also the artist he is most likened, Frank Sinatra!
